Pittsburg Police Department

After a great xmas snowmobile trip on the last night of our vacation my husband and son went out for a night ride on the melvin loop. A trail that is normally a good ride. They had ridden this before and said they would be back in 1 hour . Unfortunetaly my husband had left his paper map in the cabin and was using gis cell phone as his map. He and our son begin having sled problems ans realized they had somehow in the dark rode way to far south and had lost his cell phone on the trail. With one boken sled and ine running low on fuel my son became very paniced. My husband new that at zero degrees and very low fuel he could not make it back to the cabin. My huaband rode to the nearest road intersection and was able to use my sons cell phone to call dor help knowing that the intersections all have address so he could get back to the road and able to have someone reach me to bring a truck so they would not be out all night. The awsome officer met them with his truck at the trail road juction within 20 minutes of his call and escorted them to back lake road where he could call me to pick them up and get the trailer for the broken machine. It is truly amazing that they were able and willing to do this and not ruin snowmobiling for life for my very concerned son. It was truly awsome and anyone that would ever bad mourh the pittsburg pd should never come to this state or ride here. People in nh help people and thats what they are here for and maybe sometimes a ticket for speeding or riding the road here or their might suck but let me tell you that when your family really needs help they will be there and we thank you with all our hearts.
