Champlain Family Health

I've been going to see Dr Racine for years! He is pretty much the only Dr that really listens to me. I've seen Dr C a couple of times. I have issues and sometimes the other Dr, PA's don't think I need to take certain things. One time last year I went to Head Waters Health 3 times in a week and a half!! The first two times I had to see someone else. The third time, I did see Dr Racine and he did listen to me and ordered the test needed! He knows my history. I know he's doing part time, but dreading when he does retire! It's not easy getting a Dr to listen to you, and that's sad!!

My 4 month old daughter has been sick with a cough/congestion that has been getting worse instead of better. We were seen a couple days ago and sent home with a nebulizer for her but she got worse over the next couple of days to the point she was sleeping most of the day and barely feeding. We tried to call the practice back to let them know our daughter was getting worse and was told she could not be sick as her temperature was only 99 (she usually runs around 97.8 and it was 100.9 the day she was last seen at Hudson Headwaters). Also according to Emmalee Colby the family nurse practioner who saw her and talked on the phone Saturday she did not hear her cough when we were there (our daughter was sleeping then) so that meant she was fine. I explained that I normally do not run "fevers" when I am sick myself (or what doctors define as a fever) and we stressed that our daughter was barely feeding (only had drank about 11.5 ounces in 2 days) Well we were told nothing could be done. She offered to see us and said she reassure us everything was okay but she was not concerned. We continued to try to express our concern only to have her hang up on us. We wound up going to an urgent care and the infection my daughter has can now be heard in her lungs.

***I would like to add we attemtped to contact patient concerns multiple times about a previous issue and never heard back. We also called and left a message this past Saturday as well as addressed our concerns with the Champlain Office, therefore, we are currently awaiting Hudson Hudson Headwaters to contact us back. ***

My doctor has been Nicole Cerlewich, DO for the past several years. She has been very helpful to me in taking care of my health concerns. She has always taken the time to talk to me and answer any questions and concerns I have had. My son has also used their services and has been very satisfied. They have excellent doctors there for adults and children of all ages
