Excellent hands on instruction from babies up to Advanced swimmers learning the butterfly. Our two boys have loved their lessons from day one.
Our eldest moved on to the swim team and continues to love swimming.
kids have been coming here for about 2 years. I dont know where they find these gifted instructors, they are amazing with kids. 10/10 would recommend.
My child is 7. She has been apart of the school for almost 6 months. She loves going every Saturday morning. Money well spent!!!!
I'm on the fence about this place. It's a nice facility, but the actual service could use some improvement. They rotate the kids and teach them one at a time, so there's a lot of waiting around and goofing off. When the kids are not swimming they are told to wait at the end of the pool and they stand on some type of trampoline/stool type thing to keep their head above water. Its common for kids to walk off it and go under, but the staff is very quick to respond. The level of instruction just seems sub-par for the price. The facility is nice though. They have a very nice family changing room with completely private booths, as well as dedicated male/female rooms with showers. The pool area itself is kept very warm. Walking into the pool area, you are overwhelmed by chlorine and it can burn your eyes at times. The parents waiting area has a large window wall so you can watch while kids are in the pool. Area can get crowded and cramped though.
The instructors are all friendly and knowledgeable, and noticeably trained to work with children. We have tried other programs in the area, Community Ed, and The Y. Nothing compares. These instructors are clearly very well trained. The water is warm, and even the most reluctant child is soon placed at ease after a few sessions. Some may feel the progression from level to level may take longer than they had hoped, but as a parent, I really get the sense that the program wants to insure your child is ready to progress to the next level. Swimming is such an important skill to have, the benefits of this program far outweigh any pool size issue other raters have mentioned. The quality of instruction your child will receive can not be beat.
