Thorough is a great way to describe this guy if I had to use just one word. But be prepared to wait long on certain days. The pupil dilation medicine takes longer to work on some folks than others. Once he starts examining you you will understand. Extremely knowledgeable, takes into consideration your feelings when giving options (ex: surgery, surgery in future, no surgery) and explains in detail. I trust him fully. (Suggestion: have a friend come meet you at a restaurant in the plaza for an hour or so while waiting for your eyes to dilate.)

Dr. Murphy is very thorough and takes his time with you. Does a great job at explaining the procedure. The staff is fantastic also.

I have nothing but good to say about Dr. Murphy and his staff. There is a considerable wait at times. You have to understand that the doctor may have to see someone in an emergency and he will take all the time needed to give you a thorough exam and answer any questions you have. Plus, those drops to dilate your eyes take time to work. I just try to schedule an early appointment and bring something to read. Just chill. He is worth the wait.

Excellent clinician. Dr. Murphy is highly skilled and very caring for my needs. Highly recommended.
