“Quiet small fishing and shallow kayaking lake. They recently put in a nice board walk for the short hike back. The banks are muddy- be prepared! There are houses that back up the north and west edges of the lake so you are not in total seclusion. Perfect kayaking for kids. Lots of small fish and tiny marine life to see. About a dozen parking spots.”

“The town is trying to make this place nice. They have done some improvements to the parking and the amphi theatre in the last few years. The pond is new as well as some paved walking trails. (A nice feature) however, they are not maintained in the winter, which makes it difficult to enjoy the place through the colder months. Over all it is a nice place.”

“Great place for a quick walk or to play nature bingo. Small inlet along the path you could stop and ready. Many turtles to hunt out in the swamp areas. The park that is near by is a great addition for children”

“A nice and small playground set a little off the road for children to come and have fun. It is in walking distance to the shopping centers, restaurants and Glen Park in beautiful and historic Williamsville.”

“This place is coming along nicely. They recently installed a new playground for the children. (I hear there are plans to expand the playground already). There are several trails to walk (both blacktopped and wooden plank). It's too bad Amherst's trails aren't maintained through the winter (like Clarence does), but it is a very nice place to go for a walk any time of the year. Speaking of winter, there is a nice sledding hill that gets plenty of use. Small parking area though.”

“Love walking my dog here after work. We hike a ton on the weekends but it’s hard to get to “real” trails during the week. This gives her a small dose of wilderness and is just down the street from my parents’ house, making it perfect for those 5p.m. walks.”

“This dog park is O.K.- the grass finally grew back and is now cut! But No water fountains! No permanent dog bowls. One little bench. It's alright tho, sooo wishing we had NICE dog parks like so many other cities!”

“Phenomenal Art Festive! You could not have asked for a better day. One suggestion, next year encourage visitors to bring a chair. It is a lot to take in, sitting down in the shade for a test would have been good. The food vendors were great.”

“Never knew this place was here! Cool little trails, perfect for a walk. Nice peaceful park tucked away behind a senior living center in the heart of amherst.”

“This place has very nice play areas, three sets of swings, a basketball court, tennis court, baseball field and seating. Also in the unfortunate circumstance you need a lavatory there is a portable toilet on the grounds as well. There is plenty of surrounding parking as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a park to visit especially people with children.”

“Best park for runners, walks in Amherst area.”

“I don't think this location should be called the UB Bike Path Parking, as many portions of the path are not on UB property and they don't maintain the path. The site was only mildly creepy the other day. People linger in their cars too long. I saw five wild turkey and one deer. The restrooms could be fresher. There is no airflow. The metal mirror looks like a magnet for denting. The paper towel dispenser is nearly always empty and should be removed if never filled. I'm not sure if there is soap. The water fountain seems to only run at a trickle. I remember thinking at least we have a restroom.”

“Park was great, unfortunately baseball was cancelled”

“Decent golf course, the layout is pretty boring on the front 9 and the back 9 has a much more dynamic layout. I'd recommend for a newer golfer or someone who isn't serious. If you're looking for a better layout, Sheridan park course is considerably more challenging as public courses go. One thing to note, the greens are very well kept; that being said, they are very soft and slow.”

“Is a great place for a kids birthday party. They set up mats and things to climb on for the kids. There is also a bunch of little bikes and cars for the kids to ride on inside. There is a kitchen with a stove fridge and sink that you can use also. We've been there 2 yrs in a row now and really like it”

“Charming bit of forest in a dense suburban area. Complete with large pond, and diverse animal & plant life. Relatively secluded, so it's not too crowded either. Hidden gem for sure!”

“Fields are in decent shape but walking in/out you play mine sweeper to avoid the Canadian Geese poop. Getting in/out of the parking lot is a disaster especially if there are lots of games going on. People on Campbell will run you down/not let you in either most times. The town/county could do a lot better in traffic control there.”
