The breakfast here changed my life. It exceeded expectations in both taste and presentation. The service was excellent. We called ahead and made a reservation. Between the pastries, the chicken, and the pulled pork hash, I will dream of this breakfast forever. It was so worth it!!
Steve and Ellen are the best. Great food experience and atmosphere with outdoor patio. Creative drink specials with tremendous staff. Must go for brunch or try their seasonal specials.
The Black Sheep is an interesting restaurant with good food, and the ingredients are always of the highest quality. The menu changes often, with the season. However the consistency of the offerings is not always there. I have some truly excellent, five star, meals here. I have also had just as many so-so 3 star meals. While the food has never been bad, it is generally a question of value. When the food is priced how it is, why would I go here to gamble?
I have only ever been here for brunch but it is by far one of my favorite places, I take all my friends who have never been. The food changes often and it's always fresh. Their brunch cocktails are great, the servers are great, it gets busy quick so booking a reservation is the best way to get a table. We love Black Sheep!
Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Buffalo that I've eaten in so far.
I had trouble deciding between a couple of dishes and ultimately chose the Marinated Blue Fin Tuna on their brunch menu. I was not disappointed. That specific combination of flavor profiles and textures as well as the overall balance achieved in this dish was a beautiful experience.
More importantly, my kids enjoyed their meals...which is always a plus.
