I'm vegetarian and I'm here about three times a week for a meal from the hot bar or salad bar. Plus their organic produce section never fails. I also by my meat alternatives and dairy-free creamers and yogurts here. They have a lot of options if you are vegetarian or vegan, including plant health powders and supplements. Not to mention their dry stock in bulk, including oats, nuts, beans, etc... Oh, and a peanut butter machine!! All staff is friendly and helpful. Truthfully I would be lost without this place.
So glad this opened 2 years ago. Much closer and better parking than Elmwood. A world away from the hippie-like North Buffalo Foid Coop that closed over 20 years ago
The wheat conniption was good, as well as the cheese amalgamations. However, the white bean derivation was particularly gratifying, in its partially hydrogenated nature. All carbohydrates changed to sugars upon contact with the amylase secretions within my oral cavity. A proper kilojoule transaction occurred. Above all, I am nothing. Also the prices were kinda high.
Nice market with good selection of fresh produce. Lots of organics. Prices were good also.
The Lexington Co-op is a great neighborhood grocery store. It offers a vast array of organic, all natural, local, and vegan/vegetarian friendly offerings. I especially like they they have a wide selection of good you can buy in bulk, especially if you're trying to cut down on waste. Their prepared foods and always great, and it has an above average selection of beers and cheeses.
