East Eden Tavern & Smoke House

Been there twice for dinner now. Not overly impressed either time. Fish fry was "eh", German potato salad was a bit unusual tasting, but not terrible. The smoked prime rib wasn't anything to write home about either -- more gray color than pink, not that juicy, no crust/seasoning around the edge, no au jus. Didn't even get any butter for our dinner rolls. Eating creamed corn out of a bowl with a fork was interesting. For the price, I expected a lot better.

So it starts out, we dined in an old historic building. Really cool place with a cool setting. Our server Tara was on her game. Great service and super friendly. Our food came and it was fantastic. There was four of us in our party. Seeing it was our first time, we tried an assortment of foods. Every thing was fantastic. We will be back soon. I highly recommended the beef brisket. It is the most tender brisket I've ever had.

Food was amazing!!! The brisket nachos and redneck egg roll for appetizers were absolutely amazing. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back again. And again haha

Went to the tavern today with my family and wow was I shocked with this hidden gem! Think the t.v. show "cheers" only with great food and better drinks. Well worth the country ride to a place that really knows how to have a good time. 55
