Good fish fry during lent. Great chowder.

Great place for Fish Fry Friday during lent season. You could even enjoy the bar for a beverage with a tv while you wait for your take out, or you can eat there as seating is family style using long tables. Teens learn waiter skills who serve your food if you eat there.

When my wife and I retired to the area my wife did an investigation very carefully of what parish we would associate with. She chose "St Gabes " and I as always agreed with her. We are blessed we did as Rev. Pastor Walt and Father Michael are tremendous caring and compassionate but most importantly personable! In addition Deacon Greg is also another breath of fresh air. You feel like their family. The feeling is always "down home and close" when you come here. "Its home" . I cannot give enough praise especially when you have a church with leadership that really makes you feel welcome and cares about you as they do here. Of course the church itself is a stunning and marvelous structure (huge and yet intimate at the same time) and the grounds peaceful. The staff from the friendly ushers to the office help always smiling and assisting are second to none. We feel at total peace here.
