Evangola State Park

We went camping here in July. They have a Nature Center here which was really great for the kids and perfect for if the weather isn't great. They have a reading area with lots of books about animals and lots of other things about animals that was very hands on. The Nature Center staff were super: friendly, knowledgeable and good with kids and adults.

The camping was nice and the playgrounds near the beach were beautiful and new. It was not a great beach for swimming-the water was a little rough and it's a shale beach so it was difficult for the younger kids (6 years and 3 years). When the water was calm it was fine.

They had lots of activities available, e.g., eagle watching hike, dragon fly catching (and releasing), and a sand castle building contest and more that the kids really enjoyed.

Nice campground with great views of lake Erie. Bathhouses we're clean and functional. RV sites have power and water within easy walk. A couple dump stations, walking trails, playground etc.

This place brings back so many childhood memories it is unreal. The park is clean, wellmaintained and staffed by very friendly people.

The beach is very nice and sandy. Unlike most of the Lake Erie beachfront, the rocks and shells are cleared away leaving an almost perfect sand beach. There are also two playgrounds that my son enjoyed immensely!

Love it here! Picnic areas above the beach for all kinds of games. Children's park. Clean bathrooms and lifeguard on duty. Sand sun and the lake. BYOB your picnic. Have a great day

Everything was awesome! We enjoyed our stay, bathrooms were always clean. Yurt was super fun, nice deck, fire pit, a grill, refrigerator, microwave. The only reason I gave 4 stars were there for no spickets anywhere to fill water jugs & when your staying several nights are the beds, we ended up running out and bought bed cushions. It’s definitely going to be a family trip every summer, just need to bring some cushions for the bed! We loved it!
