I have been going here for several years for problems with my right shoulder.

I was originally seen by Dr. Rauh for two years. What an amazing man he is! You don’t feel like you’re at the doctor when you go to see him. I always felt like I was going to visit a friend. He’s hilarious and I never felt rushed or misunderstood. He knew my concerns were real. After humming and hawing about having surgery, I finally decided to do it. He was caring and always available during the process. Unfortunately, due to my regular participation in an extreme sport, I injured my shoulder again. I needed a surgery that was out of his expertise and he referred me to Dr. Matthew Binkley.

Dr. Matthew Binkley (his wife is also a surgeon at UB Ortho) is my second godsend in this practice. He’s noticeably personable, and again, I feel like I’m going to visit a friend. He was very honest in my first meeting with him. He gave me several options on how to proceed. What I’ve noticed and admire most about Dr. Binkley’s office is that I never see a PA. When you check in, the receptionists at the front desk don’t yell across the waiting room to have you go wait in a suite. Someone personally comes and gets you and you’re not waiting in the second waiting room at all. They room you right away. I called him about a concern the night after my surgery and he personally called me back. He doesn’t hand off his work to anyone else. And Carrie, who is his receptionist, is wonderful! I enjoy talking to her because she’s so friendly!

Though I still miss Dr. Rauh and his hilarious antics, I could not be happier with Dr. Binkley as well. They’re both top-notch physicians. And I’m glad they’re both young so I can count on them for many more years to fix my poor body after I abuse it in my sport!

When I found I had a tear in my left knee, I have to say I was excited (strange as it may sound!) to be going back to Dr. Rauh. In the last few years he has repaired my right knee and shoulder. If I could give him, and this facility, 10 stars I would! This is the first surgery done at this new facility and it is top notch. All the negatives with surgery in a hospital, from the traffic and parking to possible infection, is gone. Every single staff person that we had contact with was exceptional. I am hoping that I don't have to go back again for knees or shoulder, but if I do, I will be just fine knowing that Dr Rauh and this amazing facility is where I can go!
