Old Man River

This is a riverfront snack shop with surprising depth. At the front of the building, there is an ice cream stand with 30+ flavors of Perry's ice cream. Go a little further in and you can get a wide variety of hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches. In the back is a separate building selling a variety of seafood and barbecue dishes. There's live rock-'n'-roll 4 or 5 nights a week. This is a lovely place for light dinner, enjoying the music and the breeze off the Niagara river.

What a cool vibe, it reminded me of something you'd see in the Caribbean. Food was good, we had some items from the "Seafood Shack." In particular the mini crab cakes were delicious. Also of note, the sweet potato fries were really tasty as well. While we did not personally have any of the specialty hot dogs or burgers, they looked amazing! Very good place, would go back if we're in the area.

What an amazing magical place! The food is great--tons of variety; something for everyone PLUS ice cream & ice cold beer! Live entertainment by Michael Hund, Buffalo's very own Rock N Roll Hall of Fame guitarist, and SPECTACULAR atmosphere! The staff is friendly, great management, and ya just can't wait to go back! Been coming here 30 years!

The food choices were great. I was happily surprised when I saw an extensive vegan menu. My youngest son is a vegetarian so this was nice for him to feel included. The kids meals get served on a frisbee with a huge serving of french fries and unlimited beverage of your choice. The decor is very cute.

Love Old Man River! Got to have the fire chief always one of my favorites on the menu. Great staff! great service! Always feel so welcome from the gentlemen who takes my order down to the last person who hands it off to me. Even the emotional poop support shark makes me feel like everything is going to be okay in the end
