I started at mangold ranch back in 2016. I brought my son to take riding & natural horsemanship lessons. My whole family fell in Love with the ranch's down to earth family atmosphere. Megan Mangold and her family are some of the most friendly, knowledgable horsemen you will ever meet. I now work and board 2 of my horses here, you could offer me a million dollars and I would still never leave because this place is priceless! If you love horses and want to better your riding and horsemanship skills... Call the ranch and set up lessons- you will not regret it!!
I found Megan (the heart of Mangold Ranch) when looking for someone local to take lessons with. You can search and find twenty places to ride and probably double the number of instructor/trainers, but you can't easily find a place that really feels like home. I've ridden my whole life but a few wrecks zapped my confidence, causing me to sell my horses and move on, thinking my time riding was probably up. Some years passed and I missed it, but the fear remained. I didn't need someone to teach me to ride; I needed someone patient, kind, knowledgable who could help me believe that I could again. Megan is all of those things and so much more - totally in tune with the horse while also reading your face, encouraging you and helping you get a little farther with each ride. The 'ranch family' - all of us who have found a home here - are the most welcoming bunch you'll find, right down to the barn mascot (a naughty donkey). Don't come here to learn to sit on a horse. Come here to learn what you (and your horse, if you have one already) can really do in some capable hands
Very knowledgeable staff and a safe environment.
It is family friendly and a great place to learn about horses from the ground up.
Atmosphere is very laid back. Megan and Rikki-Marie are so welcoming and knowledgeable. They truly care not only about their riders but the horses as well.
There horses are beautiful, and in such good shape. They walked us out into the pasture to show us their own herd of horses. The horses walked right up to you and wanted to be around you. They know what they are doing, and I can't wait until my horse is finished through there training program! I recommend them!
