“We've been coming here to the "Bridge Park" for many years with our kids, camped with scouts, fished at the pond, and hiked past some enormous "great grandpa" trees across a 200ft suspension bridge up to the secret stone house (abandoned) before ending at a glorious cascading waterfall. It's an unusual place that is always an adventure for us. We absolutely love it here!”

“Fort Hyde is a great kennel to bring your dogs. I've brought my two large dogs there on several occasions for a week at a time. They always come back happy and exhausted. The workers clearly love dogs and give them lots of love. The main kennel area is noisy when new dogs are brought in, but mine enjoy the excitement. I've brought cats, too, and the accommodations are fine, but they don't offer cat playtime. Dogs get an option for playtime, swimming or training for a fair fee. All animals are allowed toys in their kennel. You can bring your own food if you want, but you don't need to bring bowls. Fort Hyde provides slow-feed bowls, as well as the ability to feed your dog from an elevated bowl. The price is very fair and they offer a discount when you board more than one pet.”

“It's a nice peaceful park, great for walking dogs. They provide dog bag and trash areas to clean up after your four-legged companion. There's a nice little playground area for children to play at and enjoy. During Christmas Season, they have a Santa Claus house where your children can meet Santa. The park also has two Pokemon Gyms and quite a few Pokestops for those who play Pokemon Go.”

“Its amazing, we live local and often go there to fish, they also have a swimmimg pond and play ground AND put put. Also on the weekends they have bingo at the pavilion , my son loves to ride his bike around when we go to camp. The showers on site are very clean and have never run out of hot water even with multiple people showering. Everyone is polite, the permanent people are so nice ,oh and lets not forget the petting zoo. In telling you this place is amazing . if you have never been then make it a TO DO on your list ! And the owner Christine is so beyond sweet, my husband loves to go chat with her ! This place is a great get away and a piece of home to me now. I simply just love it !”

“We ate dinner at Widewaters tonight. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious! Great fries and hamburgers - the old fashioned kind how hamburgers use to taste! Yummy ????. While there we also attended the Thursday Evening concert in the grove featuring the "Flying Blind" blues band. The grounds at Widewaters Marina are well kept up and very clean. The friendly young people who work at the restaurant did a fantastic job of picking up trays and keeping everything looking great. The trash cans were emptied regularly. We were most impressed with this Lockport treasure! ❤”

“Had some time to kill on a Saturday and saw the wilderness park on the map so decided to stop by thinking it would be a good place to do so. I missed the "parking spot" the first time around. You really need to be on the look out as the sign is off the road a bit in the tree line and the parking lot is just an extended shoulder. Nicely posted trail map right at the trail head but it seemed that the first trail was a. It grown in. Lots of overhang from the plant life, so either know your plants or wear long pants. My goal was the creek bed and I found access shortly after hitting the trail. It was gorgeous. I was easily able to traverse the creek for close to half a mile with no difficulty. A few small falls but again it was easy to navigate. The only negative I had was some idiot left a lawn chair sitting in a deeper pool. Will definitely visit again.”

“Found by a glitch in my phone. Very nice park with multiple sections for seating and cookouts. Nice basketball court across the street from the water park. Very clean and nice changing rooms as well as bathrooms. Meet the maintenance worker and he was extremely nice. The water in the park does turn off on it's own at 8pm. There are seat within the water area that is out of water range so you are able to sit and enjoy watching the kids play. Definitely make it worth a trip to visit. Free and fenced in.”
