Johnson GEO CENTRE

This is an amazing location to visit and one of the least celebrated places in the city. I have been there many times for weddings, business meetings, luncheons, AGMs, tours, presentations, birthday parties, galas, launch parties and many other types of events. This is such a wonderful place to have a different event than most places and a wonderful place for everyone to find out more about everything the centre can provide.

We went with our teenagers and were really impressed with the exhibits, The rocks and minerals were incredible and it was a quiet day so we really enjoyed exploring without the crowds, What a treat!

Great place to go on that rainy day with child interactive displays and informative short videos with experienced commentators who are eager to answer questions. Small snack bar on scene, clean washrooms and a unique gift shop for that souvenir hunter.

I have visited here almost every year since it was constructed. It is a gift to the City of St. John's from the Johnson family, an educational and inspiring way to repay the city that provided them their fortune. Adults and children of all ages love it. It is humbling to be walking among rocks that are over 625 million years old. Everything is illustrated and explained in ways that are easy for all to understand even know even if your interest is not geology.

I went with my parents (in their 70's) and my kids ( 6 and 9). Everyone loved this museum! We spent about 2 hours there and really enjoyed the geology and space exhibits the best. They also have a great gift shop on site. The it is well situated on Signal Hill so it is not out of the way at all. This was an excellent rainy day activity.
