Very clean and open space with great displays of their products. Menus are on iPads placed around the store, so you can look at the selection yourself or ask for assistance. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Accessories such as pipes, bongs and papers are sold here. You can also get edible gummies and chocolate (my favorite!!) here. Great pricing options and ranges also.
The store seems to be run by Hypsters, the staff can seem impatient at times but I would be too having to deal with some of the types they have to at the downtown location. Some tweed brands are decent........the House Plant Sativa is pretty good. One of the big problems I find is all Tweed products are dry, the safety/moisture seals and containers don't work well if at all. I would like to see more Broken Coast products in all the time even though its not a tweed product. It's always fresh and has moisture when you break the seal, and the smell hits you right away, Ruxton especially. It's hardly ever in stock and when it is it sells like wild fire, very high quality product.
Stick to the black market.
NOTE: I happened to walk by this Tweed store as I was walking around the city to sightsee. I didn't make any purchase of the cannabis so I couldn't comment on that element. However, I did purchase apparel and checked out the space, so I will comment on that. In Ontario, the physical stores are not even available so when I happened to walk by this Tweed store located at the Water Street, I was happy! Then, I recalled on TV seeing the historic 1st ever recreational transaction being done here at this store. The moment I walked into the store, I was impressed. It's clean, modern, bright, very inviting. Then, I was greeted by the friendly staff who greeted me and asked to check my ID (mandatory to ensure you meet the age requirement). Then, he told me the store sells apparel, the counter sells cannabis and later on, they hope to have a barista to to have a cafe. I was told there are only limited cannabis available as they are still iron out the kinks of the distribution and the inventory. Anyhow, it sounds weird, I was more interested in its apparel, this is not just about cannabis anymore, it has stylish hoodie, caps, tees, I like the apparel and the price are reasonable. It's a cool spot. I think the overall interior layout and service is on point with the ones I explored when I was in Denver, Colorado and San Diego, California. I just think it will take sometime for the Cannabis stores and brands to smoothen out the distribution and inventory, remember, they just legalize not long ago and our provinces and federal continuous can't make up their minds of legislation, so everyone just needs to be patience and adaptive to the ever changing rule. Think about it, Ontario went from going run by the government to private, then limited license to no physical stores until April, St. John's people are lucky to have a headstart with a physical store.
