Junction Sixteen

Stumbled on this new spot to stop for a bite or homemade soft ice cream treat just outside of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Nice seating indoors and out. Ample parking if you are biking the Harvest Moon Trail toward Annapolis Royal.

I ate here last night and was completely blown away by every single thing we ordered, and our server was excellent also. We actually couldn’t pick our favourite part of the meal because everything was so good!

I started with one of their delicious mocktails (thank you for having non-alcoholic options!) and then we got the mussels as an appetizer. The broth was unbelievable! Our mains were the risotto with added scallops, and the pasta feature which was a cannelloni with mushrooms. We shared both, and they were both amazing!

For dessert, we were intrigued by the homemade ice cream - we got the pistachio cookie ice cream sandwich and the feature basil blackberry ice cream with brownie chunks on top. Again, absolutely blown away! The blackberry basil ice cream may have been the best ice cream I’ve ever had (I bought a tub to take home, which was a huge container for a very reasonable $5).

We can’t wait to go back and try the pizza next time!

I ate lunch here with a friend. We each chose a pizza from the "white side" of the menu. Mine was the -- Dock Stop -- lots of seafood -- delicious. My friend chose the -Bail of Blue. The gorgonzola cheese gave this pizza a very distinctive taste - delightful!

The restaurant is bright with lots of seating choices. Our server was very friendly and looked after us well.

I'm looking forward to a return visit to try some other items on the menu!

Celebration dinner for my son's birthday. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great atmosphere and fantastic service from Perry. Loved how all the crockery was different but very beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious. My son is a chef, and so is hard to impress ; but he had only good things to say about all the dishes. Can't wait to go again

We tried Junction Sixteen and enjoyed a delicious meal!

We started our evening with two mocktails - a Whistle Blower (pineapple, orange, ginger ale) and a Boggy Mule (cranberry, ginger beer, lime). Very refreshing and tasty!

Our starters were the Fried Calamari & Vegetables and the French Onion Soup. That soup is stunning - the richest, most flavourful broth I’ve ever tasted in a French Onion Soup! That soup is “must try”!!

Our entrees were Lasagna Verde and the Beef Short Rib. Both equally as delicious but in their own ways - the short rib was beyond perfectly prepared and an enormous portion 😘

Out of all our sides the Glazed Carrots and the Green Peas (served with prosciutto and parmigiana reggiano cream sauce) were our hands down “we’d eat these by themselves” favourites.

Dessert was simple but delicious - vanilla soft serve with salted caramel sauce and a poached pear rice pudding.

Hearty, simple but delicious food that left us feeling like we’d just had a very well-made home-cooked meal! We’ll go back (the French Onion Soup guarantees that!) and we look forward to trying the pizza once it’s available.
