Whidden Park Campground & Cottages

The campground is in the heart of Antigonish. The campsite is very clean and the employees are friendly and really effective.

If you need to stop for one night before the cabot trail like us or stay longer, it's the best place.

Cute campground nestled right in the middle of Antigonish. You definitely don't get the rustic camping feeling here, but it makes up for it with all the shops and restaurants that you can walk to from the park. Nice heated pools with slides, wall kept grass and roads. Overall nice place for family camping.

My rating reflects the experience as campers in a TENT. It is obvious this campground is for trailers. The washroom was run down, the toilets seemed to be leaking as the floors were always wet. (We discovered a much newer and cleaner washroom facility on site mid stay!) The tent sites were very open, no shade and no trees. They do not have fire pits at the sites, we went without the first night as we weren’t told we had to request a fire pit. We were provided one the second night.

The tent sites were under a bright street light which they did turn off for us the second night (thankfully, after one night awake) and so close to the washrooms we could hear the toilets flushing.

That said, they did quickly respond to our concerns and did check up on us!

The pools were great! Really appreciated the supervision to keep behaviours in check.

The price is high at $60/night in a tent.

This place is awesome!! They are so friendly & welcoming!! Close to everything in town, but it feels like you are outta town with the beautiful spot they have!! (Beautiful trees, flowers, pool, laundry room, so clean & well taken care of!!) Love it there!!

Best campsite I have been in. Showers awsum 50cents for 5 minutes worth every penny. Just enough trees to keep off the sun, but clear enough to meet your neighbour's. People were great. Everyone seemed so happy.
