“Had dinner with family here and we all left very happy. I had the signature plate which I highly recommend. Others had the fish cakes, lobster roll, lobster club and the combo plate and plates were cleaned. The location is a bit out of the way but Pubnico is a beautiful fishing town. Service was good, a bit slow taking our orders but the food came quickly after that. I will be back and I will probably order the same dish, it was that good.”

“Wonderful place to stay!! Amazing view of the sea, beautiful front pond all around a stunning area! Beatrice and George were very accommodating, always available to answer any questions. Homemade bread and preserves, fresh free range eggs and bacon, breakfast was absolutely amazing! Thanks to Beatrice and George's hospitality this made our trip very memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary. We will certainly be returning!! Once again thank you both for everything!! “Beautiful location and building. I have only gone for our annual staff Christmas party, so my experience is limited. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating. The buffet was amazing.”

“We spent 3 nights at the Trout Point Lodge in early October to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and had an extraordinary visit. As we drove up the long, bucolic dirt road leading to the lodge, we sensed that we were going to have a very special experience. After being greeted with a glass of wine and a run-down of the many amenities, Cheryl kindly suggested that we take a dip in the hot tub which we ended up doing each day in the late afternoon. How lovely to soak and relax next to the flowing river and fall foliage! The dinners (and breakfasts) were all outstanding as was the service. Since we were fortunate to have beautiful, mild weather, we were able to dine out on the patio and afterwards enjoy the cozy bonfire which Chris consistently kept tending to. We took advantage of the nicely maintained forest trails, the kayaking and the observation deck where the night sky was just amazing! We also enjoyed some great live music one night while sipping on cocktails which the staff perfectly crafted. We stayed in the Napier room on the bottom floor of the lodge which was absolutely lovely with a sitting area, large comfortable king-sized bed and a modern bathroom with an inviting soaking tub. There were Adirondack chairs outside our room which faced the front of the lodge, but we preferred relaxing in the little areas tucked away on the property which overlooked the water and unbelievable fall foliage. We had to check-out very early in order to catch a morning ferry, and the lodge provided us with a wonderful breakfast to-go. We highly recommend the Trout Point Lodge for a special experience where you can unplug and connect with the beauties of the Nova Scotia wilderness.”
