Wild Nature Campground

Nice low key campground, you are not plagued with loads of kids running amok ! good location etc - the owner is the most helpful guy you will ever meet, checks on you to make sure all is good, we even saw him getting a fire ready for one of his regulars ! cannot recommend highly enough, just tell him the English first time trailer guy recommend them !,

If you are looking to camp at a place where the owners love it, love the campers, and really make you feel welcomed and part of the community, this is definitely the place to camp. The owner of this campground, (Willie Wild) literally loves everything about the place, and will accommodate any reasonable request and help out where he can. The campground is small but lovely. It has a real community there too, with lots of seasonal campers who know each other really well. I was chastised by a group of them for driving too fast down the road, but that was entirely my fault as I wasn't thinking or paying attention. I changed my gears and we had quite a few laughs and smiles for the rest of the weekend. The campground has a lake that is lovely and your kids can go swimming there, and I have also seen people playing washer toss on the lawn. The campground sells wood for $3.50 and ice for $4.00. The wood prices seem really cheap at first but the bundles were really small and the logs quite short, so it works out to be the same as most other campgrounds who sell bundles for $5-$7 dollars. The wood bundles are separated in those old traditional plastic milk crates, so that's how much wood you are getting for $3.50. If you have a camper, the pump out station is easy to get to and once again the owner helped me. The only major downside I saw was the public washrooms. They leave a lot to be desired. I will post lots of pictures which are worth a thousand words as they say and you can decide for yourself. I don't think they have done any upgrades in the washrooms for decades. I didn't even know they still had these, but they have one of those hand drying towels that is a real towel on a circular feed and you pull it down to dry your hands on a clean piece, and the dirty part winds itself back up inside the machine to be held in mysteriously. I'm fairly certain bacteria looms there en masse. Scary. There were technically two shower stalls, but one of them was completely disabled. The second one worked, but I wouldn't go take a shower in there ever, so I went without a shower the whole weekend. There were supposedly three toilets, but one was permanently locked and looked out of service, the other one was plugged with toilet paper all weekend, and only the third one was available for us. This is definitely the lowest point (or weakest link) of this campground. If this were fixed the campground would be great. We had to struggle with a site with no water because of a miscommunication with the owner when I booked. I thought I had reserved a three-way site, but we only had power. Next time, I will be more specific.

Best place to stay owner was the most amazing guy. If your planning and exploring Halifax but still be able to see the Stars at night this place is great. Nice wild life park very close. We usually only stay at a camp ground for a night but had to book a second after seeing this place!

Amazing camping site with many trees. The owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Easy access to the bathrooms and the showers. Very clean place overall. Geat price. Some lots are next to a lake. The best campground I went during my trip to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

The man in charge is unreal, one of the nicest guys I have met while in Nova Scotia. Makes you feel at home. I was traveling by myself and he came to my campsite and we talked for hours. He is not running the campground just to get paid. He is a people person loves to here story's, loves to make sure your stay is the best possible. 10/10 customer service
