We love this park. Did you know that is has some of the most interesting geology in the province? Take a walk along the beach at low tide and make your way east. Some really fantastic, and geologically unique features here. Worth checking out. I cycled the trails around the campground and enjoyed the views from the camp site. The park is high up on a hill, so the views from practically everywhere are fantastic. Staff is great too, and good firewood, which for me is a make or break item.
its a awesome campground..
We camped here for the first time over the Labor Day weekend (2020). The views from this park are spectacular, with great trails and wonderful scenery from every angle. At night, you have a 360-degree view of the stars under an open sky.
From a camping perspective, we were a little disappointed. While the sites are relatively roomy, they were un-level, wide-open and far from private. The electricity source was solid, but the water was non-potable; making your "2-way serviced site" more like a 1.5-way. At departure, with only one dumping station, be prepared for a wait. That said, the late check out time certainly helped.
We will probably not return to this park for camping, but will certainly be back for day trips.
It was a great camping experience despite the wind. The views are breathtaking and the sites are large and mostly grassy. The only downside was the water wasn't consumable during our stay.
Awesome spot with enormous sites (we had full size trailer and full size tent and could have done double that). Lots of great hikes, obviously the beach with its great tides. Good spot for clam digging and some rock hunting. It is a bit picked over but you can get lucky.
We were her for Perseid meteor shower (always early August) and because of darkness and clear sky were not disappointed.
