The food was delicious, we ate outside so it was interesting to people watch.

Loved the beers I managed to get next door at Nook and Cranny but the Google page said they were open Sunday. They weren't. I don't always call businesses before I go over because I assume they update their business profiles online.
The door was unlocked but there was a sign that mentioned to go over to a neighbouring store. Sauces? That door was locked. Eventually we called and found out they indeed were not open.
I really wanted some Salty Dog swag seeing as I'm from Ontario. 🤷 Guess I'll start calling the businesses instead of relying on Google.

Some real quality brews are made and served here. I was passing through town when I saw this place and it definitely didn't disappoint. Had a flight of tasters all of which were lovely (even the pumpkin one!).
If I didn't live several provinces away I'd be back regularly.

Limited offerings on tap for growler fills at the moment.

There was a beer I wanted a fill of and half the growler filled when the keg ran out and was told they needed to pour the growler out in the sink. Just really surprising they'd pour it out on you instead of allowing you a chance to at least try it and potentially drum up sales on a future visit.

The 2 other growler fills I walked away with were nice though.

The Salty Dog is great. Their beer is easy to drink and there are three restaurants next door offering a variety of food. I got the Salty Dog beer flight and can't say I didn't like anything on it. The oysters at the neighbouring restaurant were fantastic as was the fish and chips with blueberry relish. My group liked everything we ordered (haloumi fries were also a winner). A gem offering a ton of local variety. Would definitely return.
