The Sterling Apartments

I am thankful to Joan, who I met accidentally when I went to enquire with another Capreit property and when I found that it didn’t have any availability, and Joan helped me with info regarding this property and she informed me (understanding my plight because I was at a hotel and had to vacate it in a couple of days) that they have one 2 BR availability. I recently moved into this apartment and the moment I walked into it I knew this was the one! Reasons -
1. The location is perfect (lots of nice residences and easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacy & 102)
2. The resident manager Mike is great guy and has been very helpful right from the moment I came to enquire!
3. People that I bumped into the apartment (mostly in the elevator and mailbox area) after moving seem to be nice.
4. It’s a smoke-free building (which was a mandatory expectation of mine)
5. While I felt the rent was a tad high compared to what I wanted to spend, good news is it included covered parking with extra storage!
Its still early days but with good managers like Joan and Mike I am sure my stay here will be memorable (in a good way)!

A couple things I wish this community had are an Indoor swimming pool and a pool table in the social room but these weren’t a deal breaker for me! May be with time in the near future! :)

Our experience at the Sterling is very pleasant. The building is new and located in a calm and beautiful neighborhood. The apartment is spacious and kitchen is well equipped. Mike from the management team is very helpful and responsive.

My boyfriend and I moved into The Sterling in June and have had a great experience with the building. We love the area and our unit is beautiful. The price is also awesome for the area and the size of the units. There are your typical apartment things, such as tenants not being respectful of common areas and not cleaning up after themselves, but that's not the buildings or managements fault. Where the building is brand new as well there are certainly some kinks to workout which the building is working on.

As long as you don't expect everything to be done instantly (which is impossible), the management is fantastic and super friendly as well.

I could not be happier with my experience so far at The Sterling. My unit is fantastic, and the area is exactly what I was looking for. Close to the city, but also close to nature. We don't use transit very frequently, but it's nice to have a bus stop right outside that connects to the Bedford Highway as well as Downtown.

Move-in was an extremely smooth process, made even easier by the great communication from building management. The unit was definitely a little dusty, but I assume that's unavoidable in a brand new building.

I have nothing negative to say. Great building, unit, location, and management. 5 stars!

Honestly, I'm really enjoying my experience at the Sterling so far. It's a brand new building, so it's been a cool experience to be the first person/tenant ever in my apartment.

The construction (and of course Covid-19) caused some delays that were unexpected such access to underground parking, but it's nothing that hasn't been addressed by the building manager and staff. They have also been accommodating to changes and any issues that have arisen during the building stages and overall there's nothing really I can complain about.

Loving all the pets in the building and the fact that it's walking distance from Kearny lake and a few trails. I use transit a lot, so it's nice to have the bus pass right in front of the building. Groceries and other amenities are not necessarily walking distance, but they are close enough — the whole area is expanding, so soon enough they'll be a plaza/shopping area a few minutes away.

At the moment of writing this, there's still some construction around the area (there's at least 3 building coming up), but despite all the noise you could expect to have with construction it is still a really quiet neighborhood.
