Mango Dogs

We’ve been amazed at the progress of our Rocky thanks to our fantastic trainer Justine and the Mango Dogs program.

We adopted Rocky from Texas at six months and what he lacked in confidence and discipline, he made up for with affection and exuberance.

After our initial four at-home sessions, we’ve seen Rocky’s confidence blossom and he’s now become the dog he was always meant to be. Whereas before he would pull on leashes and helplessly bark at other dogs, fellow walkers or visitors, now he listens to commands, is able to walk off leash at the park with joy and ease! The transformation has been amazing to behold for us as owners.

It’s been well worth the time and effort as owners, but especially for Rocky.

I was at my wits end with my 3 dogs fighting in the home! I had tried 3 different trainers and was getting no where fast! I got referred to Mango Dogs by my neighbour who had similar experiences with her dog. Mango Dogs offered my a complimentary evaluation and I knew walking out, this was exactly what we needed.

We were very struggling with our male German Shepherd(1 year old at that moment) before we went to Mango Dogs. We took the obedience class when he was puppy; however, when he got older and bigger he became very reactive to other people and dogs no matter at home or outside. As soon as he saw another dog or people into a distance he would start barking and lunging and he even attempted to attack people once when we were on a hiking trail. He also had recall, leash pulling, rushing the door and some other impulse control issues. We were so frustrated because we believed he was on his way to become a dangerous dog.

Mango dogs have been a complete game changer. After working with Amy, he has made unbelievable improvements and he is almost a different dog now. He is well-behaved to say Hi to other friendly dogs and people, he stops pulling the leash and rushing the door. We are now confident to take him for a walk, take him for a bath in pet store, hike with him on a hiking trail or invite friends to our house without stress.

Amy was professional, knowledgeable and patient. Every time we take the lesson with her we are able to understand our dog better and improve ourselves as dog parents. We are definitely satisfied. Would recommend Mango Dogs to anyone needing help with their dogs.

We went to Mango Dogs for help with our Shiloh shepherd Ghost. Before training Ghost used his giant size to pull on the leash and greet people with all 110lbs of love. After working with Amy he has made huge improvements. It’s a joy taking HIM for a walk without him taking US for a walk. Amy gave us the tools and knowledge to train Ghost on recall and other commands as well. We would definitely recommend Mango Dogs to anyone who needs help with their dogs behaviour.

Imagine eating a meal without a dog underfoot!

I sought out help when Ozzy started to be more concerned with female dogs than listening to my recall.

Amy was professional and knowledgeable. She taught me how to keep Ozzy in place (Stay) and through conditioning, recall is working again.

It is so relaxing to have this big goofball wait patiently to be released during a nice meal or when there is a lot of new things happening in the house.

A much less stressful environment to be in when you have established that trust and control over an overzealous teenage dog.

Definitely satisfied. Would recommend to anyone looking for that balanced approach to training their dog.
