In a time where it seems everyone needs to cheat their fellow man to get ahead and any professional you hire costs you your first born, I felt very lucky to have stumbled across Black Magic. I have hired other companies in the past for repairs and cleaning on chimneys and was always less than impressed at the professionalism and value. This time I went with Black Magic and I can honestly say it was the most straight forward and efficient professional work I have hired in a long while. Everything was arranged over the phone and the lady I spoke with was friendly and knowledgable. Work got done quickly, was good quality and at a reasonable cost to boot. (Where do you find that nowadays). Communication was also stellar and I knew exactly when they were coming to do the work and how long it should take. Can't say enough good things to be honest. Just thought I would share my great experience with you all since it's so hard to get good value and straightforward, honest work

I’ve used Black Magic for 5 years now, and have always found the job to be done well, with no mess or issues at all. The one year I was still having issues with smoke, they helped me identify the issue, and solved it very quickly for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended. We are a small self run housing cooperative with 9 houses in Halifax. We had 12 Chimney flues cleaned over a 6 week period. Margaret in the office assisted me in creating a schedule that worked for our members and Black Magik. Several times we had to request different dates for some of our members which went smoothly because we gave Black Magik proper notice. The gentleman that arrived was efficient and helpful. I watched him clean several of our flues and he was generous with his knowledge. Margaret in the office always returned my phone calls and emails ….sometimes even contacting me on a Sunday ….unbelievable.
We are a non profit housing coop and the cost to clean our flues was extremely reasonable.

I highly recommend this team, they are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We have been a customer of Black Magik Chimney Sweeps for 13 years. Over this period, we have hired them to inspect and clean the chimney and flue, install rain cap and stainless steel lining, and replace a wood stove. They have always been prompt to return calls, connect with us prior to arrival and try their best to provide service in a timely manner. Of course, if we called in November to get the chimney serviced within the week, that would not happen, just as if you wait until the first snow to get the snow tires installed on your car -- you are bound to wait. A little planning can take you a long way and reduce wait-time related frustration. Again, I recommend.
