Outstanding small outfitter with great equipment and excellent service. We rented 4 kayaks for a scenic family paddle and had a marvellous time. Calm water and beautiful scenery within the city. Very reasonable prices. Delightful and helpful staff. Highly recommend!!!!
My experience was very positive. The staff was friendly, organized and efficient. The boats are well maintained and there is enough to handle a busy day. Long Lake itself is one of the best in the city for spaciousness, variety of places to swim, and cleanliness. Represents great value for money
Absolutely outstanding business. The staff are very friendly and interested to know how your paddle was. Even on their busiest and hottest days they have plenty of equipment and are super nice to deal with. Come here for a great kayak or paddle boarding experience.
I work at an ESL centre in Halifax, and my co-worker planned a cultural activity here to give our international students a taste of the Canadian experience. It was my first-ever time to kayak, and it was truly a memorable experience for everyone involved!
We were able to book in advance and they not only sent us all the information promptly, they also helped us register two extra people on the day of without any fuss. The staff were extremely kind and gave us relevant advice to stay safe considering the weather conditions that we were dealing with that day. They recognized that most of us were doing this for the first time, and guided us well and were not condescending at all. They even held our devices at no extra cost. They helped us onto our boats too, and didn't pressure us regarding the time. This is exactly the kind of service that has customers coming back!
The lake itself is beautiful, and their prices were quite reasonable ($17 for a double kayak, and $20 for a single). Perfect for a date, a day out with family, or even a summer day out with a large group of friends. This is a place you would not wanna miss out during the Halifax summer heat!
They also have Instagram and TikTok if you wanna check out some videos of the place before going all the way down there.
Amazing place to be in if your looking to do kayaking ..its mostly located in two places in Halifax one is shoebie park and second one is long lake which is the best among two.
if you are planning to do kayaking using the kayak peddle they allow two adults and kid under 7 years will be allowed without ticket. cost for two adult will be 48 dollars for one hour. if you go for peddling boat(using legs ) which is allowed to only one adult and is expensive then kayak peddle
