(January 28, 2019, 6:58 pm)This park is lovely year round! We took our dog here for a beautiful winter walk (plus 6 in January). The best part about it is that because most of the roads are paved and the walking trails are crushed dust gravel with a small layer of pine needles on everything, my dog did not get full of mud! That is a huge plus this time of year. There were a fair number of families and people walking dogs. All people and dogs were friendly however the park is large enough that you didnt see many people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Year round!
(September 16, 2018, 3:10 pm)We LOVED this campground. You need to have a passcode to enter the park, which makes it feel that much safer. The park offered hot showers, which was welcomed! The RV sites are well established and well spaced in between. We found a picnic table on a little beach to watch the sunset over the water, perfect end to the day.
(August 20, 2018, 5:05 pm)This was an extremely well cared for campground and park with lovely facilities. The campsites were well laid out and private enough. The camp hosts were great. I chose to camp here for the location, but it really wasn’t that close to Halifax. The reason the site didn’t rank higher mostly because we were underwhelmed with the surroundings. The lake looked lovely enough, but we expected nice swimming beaches. Instead the swimming areas were all rock and the water was swampy. I would recommend this campground for quiet, serenity and family gatherings.
(August 4, 2018, 5:19 pm)Love this campground, while there isn't a whole lot things to do for kids such as playgrounds, there is a huge lake which has next to nothing for leeches! Plus a giant rock with very deep water at the bottom so you can jump off, its about 17 feet high. Great place for small groups of friends and family get togethers!!
