Authentic, fresh, lovely atmosphere. Nice to see a variety of NS fish on the menu.
The halibut cheek tacos were the best I've had in a long time and the lobster empanada were delicious as well.
I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.
Delicious breakfast. The restaurant is very quaint and homey, the the empanadas and beans are amazing.
When paying you go to the other side which is a store front where there are also various guatemalan food products that looked great.
I would definitely recommend for breakfast, I’d like to return for dinner next time I am in Halifax.
If you want authentic latin food, this is the place to go. Eating here felt like eating back home in Colombia with family. Not to mention the decor and music was on point for the atmosphere.
Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant / shop while looking for brunch but unfortunately left hungry. As other reviewers have pointed out, the menu is chock full of Latin American eats but the portions are miniscule. For instance, tostadas are pictured in the menu resembling the size of a large fist but arrive closer to the size of a two bite brownie.
The plate in my picture costs nearly $35!
This place has potential, but you'll have to be sure to order lots if you want to leave full.
