John runs a classic barber shop, the kind that all of the fancy places nowadays try to mimic. If you want a real haircut from a real barber then this is where you want to be. If you are wondering what a "real haircut from a real barber" means then you should go to to Sailor Bups or Tommy Gunns, because that's probably more your speed.

Visiting Halifax and asked a taxi to find me a good hair cut. Dropped me off and I sat down immediately in his chair. Instructions for a short summer cut resulted in one of the best I have ever had. Had a very good discussion re Conservative vs Liberal philosophies. Only negative is he is cash only, had to walk to nearby pub for a cash machine to pay him. Asked for a taxi to get back to Convention Center and had a good 3 days discussing policy of next government.

Middle of the road old school barber shop. I've never had a long wait walking in. He cuts all the hairs. Has a price guide that compares the cost of his haircuts to various vices.
