Rooted Elm Therapeutic Massage

Sarah is the best RMT I have ever had. I have been going to her regularly for the past year and want to take the time to give her a thorough review.

Firstly, her practice is truly client-centred. She is a great listener, and her massage skills are superb! She allows her clients to decide their goals for each appointment (ie. relaxation or recovery), and she matches her clients energy (ie. talkative or quiet, informative or fun!). She has a great knowledge base about anatomy and health, and is always willing to answer any questions. She even stayed late one day to show barefoot massage to a friend of mine who is a new RMT grad, FREE OF CHARGE! She is truly a generous and dedicated practitioner.
One of the most meaningful things I have taken from Sarah’s practice is her ethos of self care. Every appointment I had with Sarah, I felt encouraged to love, listen, and honour my body. She taught me how to take care of my body AND my mind. When I went through a mental and physical trauma at work, her practice nurtured both. Her practice is truly holistic: a perfect blend of physical and emotional self-care.

If you’re looking for an RMT who will nurture your mental health as much as your physical health, I recommend Sarah. I can speak from experience that I will truly miss her practice whole-heartedly.

Sarah is spectacular! As someone with a sensitive soul and body I find she very intuitively responds to what I need. I often drift off during the session and feel like I'm floating away on a cloud afterwards. Do yourself and your body a favour and make Sarah a part of your self-care routine! Her space is a little oasis in the heart of Halifax.

Sarah is a great communicator and uses several techniques that I haven’t had from any other massage therapist. The consistency and depth of pressure she delivers when using her feet is fantastic, and her treatments are very effective without being painful.
