My family were in capable and caring hands while we were in Namibia and South Africa. Sebastian is a kind, compassionate human being with stories and experiences to share. We spent 18 days with Sebastian in August and September 2022. A trip of a lifetime that included majestic safaris, a serene balloon ride over the Namib desert, and a fantastic wine tour in South Africa. We are planning our next adventure and will reach out to Sebastian again. Highly recommended from a grateful westcoast Canadian!
I had a great experience with Nolx tours. Did a 3 country safari, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and for 3 weeks I did not worry about anything on my tour. Sebastian is knowledgeable, friendly and always prepared for the unexpected. He had surprises for us at every destination. He observes each person carefully and adapts the meals, the activities to the dynamics of the group. I was most impressed by the fact that we didn't have set menus or restaurants on the entire tour. He asked us every day what we felt like eating and he would arrange for amazing culinary experiences according to our wish. I have not seen any other operator doing that.
The activities were carefully chosen, beautiful, romantic places with great wildlife and sunsets and a minibar ready for us anytime. Private jeeps, private boats, dinners under the stars, everything included. I am not sure if I can ever traveled any other way from now on.
I have traveled with Nolx several times in a few different tours around the world. The services offered are consistent throughout their tours, the level of quality is always high and the most important things is the stress free factor. Crossing African borders is a confusing experience znd Sebastian has connections everywhere that make things very easy.
You have to experience this amazing feeling of not knowing what day of the week it is, what to do for activities or meals or even worrying about tips. Everything is streamlined and planned by them so nothing is left uncertain.
One thing I can mention that needs improvement is the quality of coffee in Africa. It is a rare occurrence when you can get good coffee at lodges. I understand they are working on that already
I just returned from an amazing African Safari trip with NOLX tour company. It was truly a hassle-free, all-inclusive experience and a trip of a lifetime. This small group tour (usually 8 or less) made this a wonderful personal experience. Our guide, Sabastian (who is one of owners of this company) was so knowledgeable and informative about the animals, life in Africa, history of areas, etc. He was so generous and patient in sharing his knowledge with us even though we often couldn’t remember lots of animal and tree names, towns etc. because there was always so much more to see and do. He took care of all the details for our smooth travel to different lodges, crossing borders to other countries, activities, meals and so much more.
We had so many opportunities to see so many animals in the wild and very close up in many of the lodges we stayed at, game farms and national parks and in lots of varied landscapes and environments. Whenever I thought I had seen it all there was so many more surprises and encounters. We got to see close up 4 of the ‘Big Five’ (elephants, lions, water buffalo, hippopotamus) and a glimpse of the elusive leopard!!
We saw lots of different landscapes of Southern Africa from larger cities and small towns to the “real” African villages and people. We never lacked for good food, amazing wine, drinks and amazing dining experiences like authentic African meals, outdoor dinner by a fire and under the stars and tree canopy, eating on the patio by the watering hole of a lodge where giraffes, rhinos, zebras, eland, oryx, springbok, ostriches and peacocks roamed, coffee and snacks in the game farms where we had just seen many animals. I know I put on weight!!
We also got to see many of the projects Sabastian supports in parts of southern Africa that help and support the people of some of the local villages. From rebuilding schools, providing basic needs like food, bedding, cooking facilities, water supply, schooling expenses to over 300 children living in a hostel, building solar powered water pumps and tanks in a project he has where he has villagers growing fruit, vegetables, raising animals to benefit the whole village and also has orphan children living and being raised in many of these families. A true example of the saying ‘it takes a village to raise a child!’
I give NOLX a 5+ star and would highly recommend their tours.
It was a trip of a life time . Sebastian’s information and knowledge was over the top . He looked after every single detail made you feel very safe , relaxed and fun. Everyday he planned a special surprise and always had a special gift to share . You will not be disappointed.
