Very friendly managers, they helped me a lot. Affordable price. Convenient public facilities. Recommended! I like to watch the sunset from the balcony.

This is an extremely lovely place to have your stay, especially the 1 BR apartments. Spacious and clean units (bug free building). Helpful and professional management + staff, with affordable pricing given the crazy rent rates in Halifax. The building is newer on the the outside than its interior.

I’m not sure if the rates are immensely high or its just the oldish heat system in the building but it needs some efforts to stay cozy during winters. If you have yours socks on, a light sweater and full length trousers you’re all caught up 👌🏻 If somehow the management included hydro with rent, that would be the dream come true given the peaceful and beautiful experience I had living here. Reason to move out: management denied converting the lease to monthly after tenant completed 1 year lease. They allow only yearly lease agreements.

Overall, had zero problems, to make numerous good memories and enjoy your stay, go ahead visit and consider making at ‘The Sherwood’ your next lovely home ❤️

Lived here in a 1B unit between September 2019 through November 2021. Paid $1014/month at the time we moved out.

While we lived here, the biggest issue we experienced was a broken ventilation system in the bathroom, which caused some condensation problems. This was the only issue that really caused us pain, as everything else was pretty minor.

Management is very friendly, but can be rather slow or unhelpful when it comes to minor problems. They do however typically respond fast to more pressing issues. As examples, there was an electrical issue in our bathroom that was resolved almost immediately after it was reported, but broken bedroom closet doors took over 2 weeks to be properly repaired.

Most of this review is complaints, but we want to be clear these are pretty much the only issues we experienced In the 2 years we lived here. These issues aside, overall we had a very good experience living here and enjoyed the building/location.

For the price, location and space, this was a really good deal. We really enjoyed this unit for the offer we had, and we'd strongly recommend this building (assuming price and quality matches what we experienced) to students or young adults who are either looking for their first apartment, or want something small for a year or three. Our reasons for moving out were simply to have more space, and find somewhere pet friendly.
