Inn the Dog House

As our dog Nala is generally reactive toward new dogs and strangers and a challenge to walk, we were very careful about choosing the right person and facility to take care of her. After a good initial visit at Inn the Dog House, we booked Nala for 6 days while we went out of town. Kate was amazing with Nala. We really appreciated the video updates throughout her stay. Not only did Nala get lots of outdoor play time and individual attention but also plenty of tasty treats! To our surprise, Nala even made a new dog friend! It's definitely worth the drive from Halifax. We're glad we found this place and we trust Kate to take care of Nala again next time we go out of town.

Flint the Greyhound really enjoys his vacations at Inn the Dog House!
Claire and I were nervous about dropping our new greyhound off at a kennel for the first time, but Kate was very welcoming. She spent time chatting with us beforehand, and took special care introducing him to all the new dogs (including her own first). We've already been back a second time since.

Inn the Dog House has a large property with a well fenced area for sighthounds. Each dog gets a generously sized kennel, big enough for us to bring a XL crate and still have room left over inside the stall. Kate was very accommodating to his special diet (with both a fridge and freezer available).

Easily the best decision we could have made driving out to Inn the Dog House from Halifax. Above all, Kate and Andrea enjoy taking care of all the dogs. They even post videos and photographs so you'll know your pals are having the best time!

An emergency came up and after looking at 10 different places, i finally found Innthedoghouse where Kate and Andrea were kind enough to accommodate my 7 month old malamute pup with under 24 hrs notice. They had to keep another pup in their own house to make that possible.
I am not a big fan of boarding places but my concerns were alleviated once i met them in person. The place looked clean and nice and they made me write them a letter explaining the dogs habits and routine.
I had to extend the stay from couple weeks to 2 months and when we picked the pup back, it was evident that i couldnt have found a better place. They kept me updated with her videos and photos and the pup was extremely happy and healthy when we got her back.
I can go on and on about the high standard of service but in a nut shell, i would highly recommend this place.
