Surf Martinique with Halifax Surf School

Amazing experience! Josh was a great instructor. Surfing in October was awesome and surprisingly not to cold with the wet suit and booties. Nice beginner beach. Highlight of my trip. Change rooms and washrooms right off the beach

Mark and his staff are fantastic. Great lessons, rental gear, and the nicest beach you could ask for! Their shop and beach locations are conveniant and they will bend over backwards to make sure you have a perfect day (or for us, whole week) surfing. We've surfed with them on two separate vacations and can't wait to come back again. Thanks for a great week guys, hope to see you next year.

A group of us were looking for a last minute adventure when I happened to come across the Halifax Surf School at Martinique Beach. A friendly phone call and next thing you know, 3 city folk were booked for surfing lessons!!!
The drive from our Air B&B was gorgeous along the coastline. They are easy to find and it was just as easy to park.
Wetsuits, booties and surfboards were included in the cost of the 1 hour lesson and they were able to use the equipment all afternoon.
The owner was super friendly and made us feel totally welcome. Josh and Darcy were so patient and positively incredible instructors. You can tell they are passionate about surfing and want their students to have the very best experience. The waves were very large, unusually large and the fog was super thick but burned off quickly. Everything the instructors taught had student safety in mind. They had Alex, Jesika and Max comfortable with the equipment and these city folk were ready to ride the huge waves.
We opted for the photo package and the beautiful Mel took photos from all angles. From getting ready to paddling to riding the waves!!
I bought a wicked cool sweater at the Halifax Surfing School Surf Shop which is located right before the beach driveway.
Our group had an amazing time and they can’t wait to surf again!!!

Halifax Surf School gave us a top notch first surf experience. My son and I went out for a lesson with rental, the process of booking was easy, they were quick to reply with questions (and you can text them!). Our instructor (Justin) was knowledgeable and patient and even gave us some extra time. It was obvious that the entire staff are passionate about surfing and most interested providing a great experience. I highly recommend!

Bought my first wetsuit here. The staff was super helpful in picking a wetsuit to fit my body, they let us try the suits on before purchasing, and helped us look for additiinal surfing gear. We ended up renting surfboards from them and had a blast at the beach. Super affordable pricing for a whole day of fun! Definitely recommend.
