Nalu Retreat & Nordic Spa

BOOK THIS PLACE!!! I cannot begin to articulate the level of care and attention to detail the owners have put into this beautiful retreat space.

A fabulous addition to Porter’s Lake showcasing the beauty of the area - everything from the views, the hot tub and fire pit, the comfort inside the domes, high end finishes.. everything has been thoughtfully curated with the guest in mind.

I booked a massage with the on site massage therapist during my stay and left feeling so much better. Highly recommend doing so!

It was the most magical stay at the Nalu Retreat. We stayed in dome #1. The scenery was absolutely amazing. Every morning we had humming birds and butterflies came to the window and every night we saw the stars light up the sky. I felt like I was in Disney movie!!! The eagle soared past while we enjoyed the spectacular view, the hot tub and the outdoor shower. We drank and bathed fresh spring water (highly recommended).

Wait, there is more! The real magic was that my husband and I got to experience healing power of Nalu together. It something I cannot explain in words. All I can say is that you have to experience it for yourself!!

There were so many extra things that we did which made this trip so memorable. The massage therapist came into our dome to give us massages, then we had the owner come in and do a sound bowl healing one day. We did yoga on the patio and a healing session outside in nature. One evening we had the firepit going while we watched the stars and sipped on our tea.

We shopped at the local grocery store to get a few things because they have a full kitchen and had meals brought in from a local restaurant. We walked by lakeshore and took a short trip to see the Atlantic Ocean.

This trip was amazing and my hope is to do it again very soon. Hats off to the amazing owners and there attention to detail. they truly have thought of everything.

One word….luxurious! Me and my husband spent the night in dome #2 this week and it was an experience I hope to repeat often! This beautiful retreat is part of my hometown and I was beyond estatic to hear of a Nordic retreat located so close to where I live!
The wildlife and scenery we have here is a unique experience that the owners of Nalu truly recognized and created a retreat alongside all of the beauty! From humming birds and eagles to the amazing mountainside sunset and sunrise this place is truly magical :) It was fully equipped with everything we needed. Me and my husband are very busy people and the hot tub/cold shower experience is just what we needed to relax! I would recommend this retreat to everyone I meet and I very much look forward to the upcoming Nordic spa they are adding!! The hosts made us feel welcome and taken care of and we most certainly will be back as soon as possible!

My husband and I got to experience this little piece of wilderness heaven while taking in the views from Dome #2. Nalu Retreat has thought of everything to provide their guests with a true luxury getaway. A post won’t do it justice - it’s one of those things you need to go and experience yourself. We can’t wait to go back and stay longer and enjoy the additional spa services when they are available. Special shout out to our incredible hosts - you should be very proud of what you’ve created!

Staying at Nalu Retreat was truly a magical glamping experience. It was the first time I'd ever stayed in a Dome, let alone a luxury one, so I didn't know what to expect. It was fully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchenette and its own beautiful bathroom. The outdoors had a BBQ, my own hot tub and propane fireplace with views of the lake.
The bedroom at Dome #2 had an amazing view of Porters Lake when I woke up in the morning...not to mention I hadn't had a peaceful sleep like that in a long time. Being that far from the city lights (and noise) I could stargaze from the upstairs loft and do my yoga practise in the morning.
My luxury, mini-getaway would not be complete without splurging on a 1- hour massage, and it just made the whole experience what I needed to feel re-energized and at peace.
I wish I could've stayed longer, but I will be back (the nordic spa will be coming soon!).
I highly recommend staying at Nalu Retreat if you're looking for a peaceful, tranquil stay surrounded by nature.
