Thrift Store (in support of St Margaret's Bay Food Bank)

A terrific local thrift store and food bank! Everyone should do what you can't to support them!

Wonderful little shop with volunteers who support those who need a little help in our community.

I dont use the food bank but always donate when I can. Richard is 100 percent right with his review. People drive in with fancy cars Mercedes, BMW, Lexus etc..getting food seems a bit much to me.

The food bank is a necessity in any community and I contributed as well as my family for many years, the staff there is excellent however when i went there a few tuesdays ( Food Pickup Day ) last year in St Margarets Bay i saw people going in and coming out with bags of food who were quite well off. This bothered me and still does. I must say i stopped supporting this location and struggled with my decision as i still do. I am a giver to all local charities and have been donating for over 40 years. There must be a way to stop this ridiculous giving away donated items to persons abusing the system. Am I wrong to think that. Should they have a list of community members that live below poverty, or should recipients have cards to access the donations.

Cute little thrift Store with lots of items, tight space, but friendly volunteers and good prices!
