Lupin was amazing as always! I’m celiac and the chef always is very accommodating! Instead of doing main courses we opted to do their tasting menu and it was delicious! She even made a special risotto for me as I couldn’t have one of the dishes. They use all local in season ingredients which is great and their pricing is amazing! Highly recommend. The service was also great. It’s a beautiful little spot.
This little spot isn’t for just anyone. If you are looking for getting in, stuff your belly and get out, might as well go to McDonald’s. If you are looking for a place where you can experience fine dining, definitely go for it. But be mindful it’s a small family operated restaurant and waiting for good food it’s not a waste of time but an opportunity to have a real conversation with whomever you are sharing the experience while you have a drink.
The Chef there is pretty talented and hard working. No way one can come with such good dishes without talent and hard work, so for those one star givers … get out more, enjoy life and be more mindful when it comes to your ego… or just go to McDonald’s
This is one of those special little restaurants that delivers surprise after surprise. This is a farm to table establishment. The menu varies on the season. The Chefs Kim and Mark care about every single ingredient they lovingly prepare. I have had the pleasure of dining here a number of times...each time I am blown away by the ingenuity and the integrity this couple exhibit on each plate. I can see in a few years this little piece of heaven growing into a renowned destination dining establishment. It is sheer delight to see this kind of quality and care. There is vision at play here folks....appreciate and support them.
We drove out from the city to try their Saturday brunch. They use a lot of local Nova Scotia produce and the brunch was excellent. I had their omelette with a side of sausage and it was excellent. We also tried the Big English breakfast which was not really a typical "English" breakfast but was still good. Two of the party had the chowder and enjoyed it, but felt it was a bit 'bread heavy', and there was not much lobster. It is a drive to get there ,but I would say it was worth the drive.
Chef Kim and her team are incredibly talented, welcoming and hard working. I highly recommend checking this place out. Every meal I have had from Chef Kim has been amazing with some of the best dining experiences I have had. We will certainly be back! Bring a cooler bag when you head this way so you can leave with some of the pantry items to enjoy later, you will not be disappointed!
