Great spot for a play - Glendate '73 - super play with local talent - Lovely night!
Can not stop talking about John Allan's Last Show. There were four of my brothers and four of my sisters (wives and husbands as well) took the show in over the past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Oh what talent and can appreciate ALL the work that went into this. It would be difficult to pick out who stood out cuz you all stood out and you can ALL give yourselves a pat on the back. John Allan probably had the best seat and gave his enthusiastic,"YES"! Thanks to all for a fantastic evening!!! Cathleen
The show was excellent. I am a bad asthmatic and perfumes and essential oils affect my breathing. We had to find other seats that night (there were a number of empty seats the night we were there) so that we could continue enjoying the show. Had there not been empty seats we would have had to leave. A scent free environment would be great.
We attended the Campbell Trio concert on August 12 at Strathspey Place, and were just blown away by this accomplished, versatile, and highly creative trio. They are masters of many genres, and put their own stamp on everything from Dolly Parton and the Beatles to Cape Breton classics. Noel's and Rachel's own compositions on cello and violin were thrilling. The two Campbell women singing in duet were just gorgeous. We love attending performances at Strathspey Place, whether we are seated in the comfortable auditorium, or in the intimate stage concerts such as this one. We hope that the Campbell Trio will return soon!
Wonderful venue to see musical productions, and there have been some great ones including The Last Waltz and Johnny Cash Tribute. There is not a bad seat in the house. The local talent in this region is outstanding and the community is very supportive.
