Island Sunset Resort

The perfect spot for a sunset on the ocean. They made late check in very easy after a long day of driving. Yummy restaurant too. Thank you!

Astounding views. Attended a wedding event. It was absolutely incredible. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Had the most delicious dinner at the Island Sunset Restaurant! Our server, Sarah, did an excellent job! We were a party of seven ( two children ) and we all agreed it was the best food / experience on the island. Thank you to the Chef for the delicious food!

The good: Named island sunset for a reason, the sunsets were breathtaking! We enjoyed sitting out watching the sun set over the ocean each night. Each room has two sturdy outside comfortable chairs for sunset viewing! The staff were friendly and helpful. We had no hot water in our room for a day, and Margie did everything she could to get the hot water back. It was greatly appreciated. The food at the restaurant is great. We attended a wedding, and the food service was timely, delicious, and with good sized portions. Cheesecake was fantastic!

The bad: the rooms. While spacious, the rooms are incredibly dated. The two queen beds in our room squeaked so loud if you got up to go to the bathroom you’d wake everyone in your room plus possibly those next door. They were also very uncomfortable. Not enough blankets, understanding it was summer but the evenings can be chilly and the one light fleece blanket wasn’t enough. The televisions were CRT, and one didn’t work properly. While we were not there to watch tv, it can a nice touch to have a modern working television in the room. Some money and time need to be invested in the rooms to bring them into 2022 and beyond.
