Reaching Strides Equestrian Centre

Me and my partner went on a trail ride and it was everything we could have imagined! We are inexperienced riders (only been 2 times before this trip) but Nadine and her staff made us feel very comfortable and safe. She is incredibly knowledgeable about her animals and horses in general! You can see how happy the animals are when you ride them. They are very well trained, friendly, and have fantastic personalities. Nadine was easy to work with and responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend the trail ride experience to new or experienced riders! It was beautiful!

I bought a horse from Nadine and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Nadine’s primary concern was ensuring a good match for both horse and rider. I was able to ride the horse on multiple occasions before the purchase and she was 100% honest in disclosing every detail about him. The financial transactions went smoothly, communication was great and she even took the time to trailer him and ensure a safe arrival. I am grateful to her for taking such good care of him and ensuring he fell into the right hands. With over 30 years experience in the horse industry I respect Nadine’s commitment to ensure her horses are happy and healthy and I will always be grateful that she matched Robbie and I.

My daughter was introduced to Reaching Strides Equestrian Center by a family friend. My daughter was able to begin her English riding lessons with Nadine Bollig and her team. I have visited the facility and often watch the students and instructors in the ring and at the barn. Her horses are beautiful and are very well taken care of at her facility. Nadine is an amazing coach. She has helped my daughter to work through every riding moment both good and challenging, with confidence and positivity. Nadine is wonderfully adept, knowledgeable and empathic teacher who pitches her teaching so that is it both challenging, but encouraging and enabling. My daughters riding and confidence have both improved under her generous guidance. Nadine’s team has made my daughter feel welcomed into the RSEC family and it truly is a family. From the staff to the more experienced rider, everyone has supported and assisted my daughter in her pursuit of riding and has fostered her love of horses. As a parent, I am pleased with the quality of the lessons, the caring and supportive environment. My daughter looks forward to every lesson and hopes to work for Nadine someday. I had tears of joy in my eyes while I watched my daughter ride at Reaching Strides (RSEC)with Nadine’s horses and her coaching. We travelled across Canada to take lessons with Nadine, the owner, because RSEC was highly reviewed and our daughter always wanted to ride there. It is beautifully located in Cape Breton, NS. It was one of the best few weeks of our daughter’s life. She had an absolute blast with wonderful people supporting her and surprising her with trail rides. Nadine understands horses extremely well and our child was placed on several beautiful and loving horses who helped our daughter become a stronger and more confident rider. Nadine loves to help people (any age) on their riding journey. I watched her coach, and she was phenomenally well spoken and encouraging when needed. Our daughter even had a chance (or two) to work with the local farrier! I highly recommend RSEC to any individual who wants to spend some time with beautiful horses and friendly staff. We would be back there every summer if we could!
