River Ridge Lodge

Despite the Covid pandemic we had a wonderful stay at River Ridge Lodge. Accommodations were excellent, very private setting, easy to find. Hosts were very friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and willing to help with all aspects of our visit to Nova Scotia's beautiful south shore. Highly recommend them.

Better than home away from home. Beautiful property tucked away in a spot that feels all your very own with lots of room to roam from the sprawling fields to the private dock. Exceptionally clean and spacious rooms with all the touches down to the smallest as I was surprised to find complimentary Doterra products in our bathroom. Beautiful breakfast, enough so you didn’t have to eat lunch but we did anyway :). Thank you, Frauke and Mike, for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

Our itinerary had some planned and recommendations from our hosts. With two nights and one full day we loved: Pleasant Paddling for the guided kayak tours in Lunenburg. Beaches: Crescent Beach with sand and sea as far as you can see and Cherry Hill both smooth sand, rock and quiet beach. Food: Rebecca’s and Oh My Cod in Mahone Bay. Salt Shaker Deli in Lunenburg

Great couple. Beautiful place. Peaceful. Well run. Very very neat and clean. Great area to explore. Definitely a place to enjoy.

Beautifully restored farmhouse overlooking the river (complete with a private dock) and surrounded by gentle hills. Great for a relaxing getaway. The family suite with two bedrooms and attached bathroom is perfect for families. Friendly and welcoming host.

Very quiet location. Beautiful old farm house. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. The host Frauke is a very nice person and very helpful. Would recommend staying there. Thank you for the wonderful weekend.
