Lovely little spot with tons of beautiful maritime art. 100% worth the visit! The owners are very helpful and glad to help with any questions you may have.
Amazing artistic display carved out of the wilderness
The two artists are so talented and they've done such a delightful job at decorating the gallery with their artwork that it is a pleasure and a joy to go there. I'm quite taken with their postcards and note cards I've become addicted to them and I go there every time I'm in Canada to get them. I truly recommend it.
I was out driving around today on vacation and stumbled across this gem. The shop owner was very friendly and they had some very nice paintings and prints. The prints were extremely reasonably priced and all came matted. To top it all off it's a beautiful drive from the highway to the shop.
It was the bright colours visible from the road that intrigued me to stop. The contemporary, whimsical and folk art here are beautiful and fun and there is a wide variety to suit just about anyone. I appreciated the variety of prices, so no matter what your price point, you could leave with one or more items. I bought seven! You can buy the original, print, a greeting card or postcard of many of the art pieces. It was very hard for us to choose our items, but the artist on site was very patient with me.;-). Many prints are available just matted or with the optional glass and frame.
Items can be shipped to you if you are unable to carry them with you and there is also an exchange policy if you find that your art piece does not suit you when you get home. The gallery has two floors, plus there is another small gallery in a separate building up behind the barn. The landscaping is beautiful and it is worth the trip up. It is an absolute perfect area for a gallery! It is a short distance off of Highway 3, but definitely worth the trip.
We visited the winery for the first time afterwards and made a purchase there, as well. We picked up the gallery map and visited several other places on it, which led us to several other venues and some very interesting adventures! I can definitely say that the gallery is one of those places where you buy things as gifts, but want to keep them for yourself
