Heritage Quay Bed & Breakfast

We decided to head to Pictou for a couple of days (an easy drive from Halifax) and stay at the "Heritage Quay". We found this wonderful property on line and were unfamiliar with it. Having read that the former Inn was purchased last fall and completely transformed by Chris and Stephanie, we were intrigued. Their home is right in the heart of Pictou, with views of the harbour and in close proximity to everything. Communication was easy and questions were answered quickly.

Their creativity shines through everywhere, and seeing all their personal touches shows how much they care about their home and their guests. The amount of work they have done in such a short time is truly remarkable ... want to talk about a labour of love?!! Everything was spotless, all the rooms are beautiful and cozy, which made it hard to choose which one to book! The beds and linens are of the highest quality to ensure you are as comfortable as you can be. They offer choices on their breakfast menu, and everything is homemade, delicious, and hearty! Even having coffee delivered outside our door when we woke up was only an email away!

Chris and Stephanie are both lovely and interesting people, and conversation was easy and engaging. They truly care about ensuring their guests have a wonderful experience. They also offer many types of packages for you to choose from, and if you have something unique in mind, Stephanie will work with you to create something special and memorable. Her creativity and attention to detail is at the forefront in everything she does to ensure you have just that special experience you are looking for. We're sure the town are proud to have Chris and Stephanie call Pictou their new home as they have injected new life into their heritage property with enthusiasm, positivity, and creativity.

This is a very special place, and you feel it the minute you arrive. We won't share everything, but will leave you to experience some little surprises of your own! We have stayed at many very nice Nova Scotia Inns, AirBnb's, and Bed and Breakfasts', and this is our first review on TripAdvisor. The "Heritage Quay" is a 5 Star+ property and deserves mention; go see for yourself! We came as guests and left as friends. We are very excited for Chris and Stephanie and wish them much success! Also, Stephanie keeps her Facebook page active, so check there to keep abreast of upcoming events. We were absolutely delighted with our stay at "HQ" and highly recommend this property. We will be back for sure!

The Heritage Quay Bed and Breakfast is a very impressive place. I have just arrived home from their Heritage Christmas Tea. Their menu items and hospitality were fantastic.
