“We hosted our wedding dinner and reception here last year (July 2022) and it was fabulous. It was so easy working with Emilie and Nakul to create a perfect meal in an intimate setting. We hosted a small wedding with under 20 people. The back room and adjoining patio fit our needs perfectly. Having private access to the patio off the dining room allowed for us to begin with a standing reception outside before sitting down to dinner. It also provided a space for the small children to have fun. Emilie and Nakul were exceptionally responsive and accommodating in the lead up and during the dinner. The menu options were exciting and catered to a lot of different tastes. We offered both vegetarian and meat options. Salads and pork belly appetisers. Veggie curry, slow-roasted beef for mains. About a quarter of our guests were children and Nakul managed to put together beautiful dishes for the younger guests too. Each course was exceptional! We highly recommend considering this place for your next event. It’s a charming restaurant in Shelburne’s historic district. We’re heading back soon for their Sunday brunch that we’ve heard is to die for. Looking forward to seeing the Charlotte Lane crew again!”

“I love the people at this Goulden Shell station, I first discovered them by a local fellow's recommendation when I had my car break down on the way to Cape Breton and they got me fixed up really quick so my trip wasn't ruined (it was kind of a complicated fix too but they just did it so smoothly!). They've always taken care of my oil changes and repairs since. I really appreciate their friendliness and caring and excellent service, they're not just good with cars, they're superheroes (superheroines, in the case of Dee), in spirit! Thanks you guys.”

“SASI is a wonderful organization that supports people with special needs doing helpful work. SASI will do your laundry AND they have incredible baked goods. We particularly enjoy their cheesy bread and their brown bread. Fill a bag of dirty laundry and take it to SASI, it will come out washed, dried and folded!! Even the fitted sheets 😊. As a side note, I accidentally left some change in my shorts pocket and it was there in a separate plastic bag! LOVE SASI and all that they do!!”

“Nice little restaurant with an honest menu. Very friendly staff, Restaurant filled with neat details. Top notch tidy! The seafood chowder was prepared just in the morning with fresh catch. And it was a tasty, rich plate with a lot quality fish. Note, they sell DIY seafood chowder sets. Excellent fries. We had battered fish filets (help, they were large) and seafood platter (whatever the sea delivers) and it was a great experience. Fun goof: We ordered (six piece?) chicken with fries for my little daugther and expected something like chicken fingers. Turned out it was large pieces of chicken and the hole room was laughing when this big man serving appeared in front of a little girl. The have take out boxes as well ;-) You like fish and good food in general? You must visit this spot. We loved it and will come back next chance.”
