We are very thankful that Mom and Dad have had Amber Lea as a home for many years. Since Dad died Mom has had a family of friends there to keep her company. It was difficult at first, especially for Mom, but soon she was very thankful to have all the activities and people to visit with. They could choose to join in the exercise programs, games and activities if they wanted, or to stay in their room. Mom is out of her room for most of the day doing activities. This helps fill her day. She loves the church service that is provided as well. Keith has been very kind in helping her with her computer many times when problems come up so she can keep in contact with her family. She loves how kind and caring Keith is. You can tell he genuinely cares for all the residents. We have joined the group in many outings that are very fun for all. If we ever have questions or concerns Ruby is open to talk to us and come up with solutions. It is reassuring to know that since we do not live nearby there is a nurse and others on staff to take care of Mom all the time. Betty Lewis
What makes Amber Lea a fantastic place is the professionalism and experience of the staff, their dedication to the well-being and satisfaction of the clientele, and the sense of community fostered by activities organized by team members for the residents.
All members of the Amber Lea staff team are diligent in the work they perform. Residents are treated with respect and receive the upmost degree of care, and are encouraged to communicate should any issues arise so they can be resolved. Every staff-member I have interacted with has been very helpful and accommodating with not only myself by with residents, and volunteering alongside them has taught be valuable skills.
At Amber Lea Place, the satisfaction and comfort of all residents is the top priority among all staff-members. Employees are genuine in their concern for the residents, making it their personal goal to ensure all clients are comfortable. This sense of personal responsibility combined with the knowledge/experience of the staff creates and environment conducive to maximizing clientele happiness.
Amber Lea is more than a retirement home, it is a community in itself within the community. Personable relationships are developed through the enjoyment of games and activities organized by Keith and his team who make it their goal to bring excitement and entertainment on a daily basis. I’ve seen firsthand the friendships that are developed in Amber Lea, it is a wonderful place to be.
It has been an honour to get to know both the residents and staff alike. I have learned a lot during my time volunteering, and look forward to my day each time I walk in the door.
My grandma was at Amber Lee years back very friendly staff we had zero complaints! Sad disgruntled employees need to leave negative reviews. Residents can have air units. Many facilities do not have central air (older builds). You have an option to have a unit for your room. Amber Lee pays their employees if you do not like your wage move on to another facility.
