Mulrain Guitars

I had two guitars that needed a mods done and they turned out great. I think the tricky one was the Fender Telecaster to which I wanted an 6 position switch. Turned out great he did some little extras on the fret work also. Shaun is very polite and courteous and loves to engage in guitar conversation. He will also keep you informed of he progress and any small hiccups that may arise. Nicely done. Will gladly return to him on any future guitar needs.

Shaun loves what he does, and it shows! He took great care to explain his work, showed what he worked on, and made my guitar much more playable and suitable for my skill level. I will always take my instrument(s) to Shaun!

I bought a vintage guitar and after getting to know it and trying to adjust it myself, decided it needed the tools and know-how of an expert. Intonation was off and the high end was lackluster. He fixed the fret buzzing I pointed out, and somehow fixed the nut where the high strings had worn down into a groove. I can literally see that he raised the high E and B so they sit higher in the nut. He got the intonation bang on and reset the action. The guitar’s high end is no longer lackluster and she now sings like she should. I also let him gain some experience fiddling with the bridge doctor in it- too much tension can dampen the resonation of the top of the guitar. Happy I brought it to him!

I took 3 guitars to Shaun to be converted from right to left handed, they were gifts I received and wanted to be able to play them, plus It can be difficult finding specific left handed guitars. Shaun did an amazing job converting them for me, they play great now, his experience in what he's doing is top notch. he went over every little thing he'd be doing to them to ensure they would be perfect to play left handed now. couldn't be happier with the experience, great price friendly knowledgeable service, I'll be taking all my guitars there and setting up some lessons to learn even more. thanks Shaun!!

I just picked up my guitar from Shaun Mulrain. I started playing around and trying to play the guitar in my 60s. I had bought a new Fender acoustic guitar 8 years ago but when I really wanted to try to get serious about playing it, I had so much trouble with it that I took it to a music store to see what I could do to improve its playability. They told me it was too warped and the saddle was too high now. Nothing they could do, but they recommended I have Shaun Mulrain look at it. Shaun made it better than it was new! I am so, so happy I took it to him. It is so easy now for me to play it. I will be taking my daughter's guitar to him next. I highly recommend him.
