If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! I strongly recommend Spencer's home inspection services!! In addition to being very personable, he is an expert in this field as demonstrated by his thorough inspection, response to my many questions, and suggestions for action. At the beginning of the process he expressly asked me if I had specific questions and during the inspection he answered those questions. He has a unique and welcomed way of explaining things to a layperson (e.g. hvac). His report is very detailed and helpfully provides a timeline for taking action - a great reference!

As First-Time Home Buyers, you receive a lot of new information when buying a home. In our case, buying a renovated country home that was over 100 years old, we wanted to make sure that structurally the home was in good condition, including being energy efficient and safe for raising our family. As no home is perfect, we wanted to know what maintenance and other projects would be necessary to keep our new home in the best condition for years to come.
Spencer at NestHawk Home Inspections provided a truly thorough, comprehensive and understandable assessment of our home's current state and brought attention to areas for improvement and ongoing monitoring. From assessing for water leaks, to the safety of current electrical wiring and outlets, to the roof condition, structural supports and insulation, he looked into every detail. He was also knowledgeable about some of the unique aspects of owning a country home, such as checking for evidence of an oil tank from an old furnace. What we really appreciated was that when we had questions he was unsure of, he did not give us a partial response, but investigated our questions further and called us back with more information over the subsequent days.
