Red Bay Lodge

We have stayed multiple times at Red Bay Lodge, at each time it gets better and better! My husband and I had the best sleep we've had in years in our cozy cabin. The beds were super comfortable, the surroundings were peaceful and breathtaking, and we woke up to delicious breakfasts-- bacon, eggs, sausage, home fries (crispy and super tasty), fresh fruit, and toast; as well as the yummy shakshuka eggs with perfectly spiced tomatoes.

The owners, Mat and Kristin, are amazing people who make you feel welcome and relaxed, and are very attentive and caring. Everyone at the Lodge is super friendly and provides great service. We got to explore the grounds (so beautiful with the leaves changing colours) and the nearby beach (within a short walking distance), which was gorgeous and so serene.

This weekend, the Lodge had a fun Mario Kart video game competition event which we both participated in, which was a really great time and brought back so much nostalgia. They had awesome prizes, and everyone was enjoying themselves!

We had a wonderful dinner in the woods, which was such a lovely experience. The restaurant deck overlooks the lush forest and cabins. The food was amazing (we got the prawn tacos and the pulled pork sandwich), and we overheard our next table raving about how the steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We also got to experience a fun fire juggling show in the evening, which wowed kids and adults alike.

We would 1000% recommend this wonderful and gorgeous family-run lodge to anyone. Thank you Red Bay for another amazing experience, and memories that we will always cherish!!

Spent 3 nights in a cabin, the stay was super quite in September, you can actually disconnect (there is no TV) but wireless worked fine for the most part. Breakfast was great, we hiked and that was absolute fuel to us, it's a big portion! We also tried their Shakshouka, and it was very tasty. Lynn was our server and she provides great customer service, advice and tourist information. Mat, the owner is a very nice guy, you will feel very welcomed here, when we were checking out we got to see a black bear (that was my first). This is a good place if you are hoping to see the Northern Lights! We missed them, we will be back :)

We had the most amazing time this past weekend for our anniversary. It's great having a gem like this so close to home. The food was amazing, rooms were nice and clean. Beds were also super comfy. The staff and Matt were great. We will definitely be back again!

Live music outdoors on the patio was a fun experience. Food was delicious. Great selection of non- alcoholic beverages. Staff were friendly and tentative to their customers. Did not stay over night but a friend who was staying there showed me the cabbin and they are cute inside. Communal campfires pits with other campers. Place to be if you want to see bears! The bear did not approach the restaurant, however children spotted the bear past the playground. Their parents went to investigate and did not have any concerns about safety.

Red Bay Lodge rocks! Spent a weekend here with a group of friends and we had a blast. Staff and service are incredible. Setting and surrounds are beautiful. Rooms comfortable, food delicious and overall vibe is of good old fashioned wilderness resort. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn't want to think about cooking on their vacation...hearty breakfast is delicious and portions huge so you won't need lunch. Try the burger or steak for dinner. Thanks Red Bay owners and staff for an awesome experience.
