My partner and I purchased a house, and decided to combine the master bedroom and an adjoining room to create a master suite, with an ensuite and walk-in closet with laundry. Let’s start off by saying, I’m a very particular person. I’m probably like many of you, and over research and have many perspectives. I love to think I’m amazing to deal with, but I’m probably the opposite at times.
Incase you don’t want to read my novel, here are my end results. Kyle ensured that the job was done to our liking (loving). We ended up being on budget (if you include the 15% buffer that everyone suggests when doing construction, for issue that arise outside of the job). We also ended up finishing a month early, because Kyle properly organized the trades and spent extra time working on the job. If someone asked if I would do it again, would I use the same people, the answer is a solid YES. Would I recommend them, definitely.
In the quoting phase, Kyle was responsive, kind, direct and knew a great deal more about the potential obstacles and requirements. His quote was middle range, but had the least amount of unquoted potential costs. The above was the reason we went with MorningView Homes.
The construction phase, Kyle was always very responsive (texting or calling when appropriate). The next part is tricky for most construction jobs, as things ALWAYS come up. I had this thing planned out for every obstacle and scenario, and still things came up. I had moments of frustration, but that was more because it wasn’t going to my plan, and regardless to the contractor the same issues would have come up. Kyle discussed the issues as they arose and determined how to move forward. His team and subcontractors were all pleasant, and were hard at work to get the job done. Undoubtedly there are things here or there that my descriptions or diagrams didn’t accurately translate, and Kyle was amazing at accommodating my concerns and working to correct (again, they were small). In the times that he had to make an executive decision, it was pretty much on par to what I would have decided. The other thing I’ve seen other people comment on in construction reviews, is the mess and daily clean up. The truth is, you can never get away from dust. Kyle’s team swept, put up tarps, used vacuums and air filter machines, and dust still occurs. Given the amount of effort and attempts to stop it, I know nothing else could be done. If you are worried about a little dust, don’t do a renovation.
THANKS MORNINGVIEW HOMES!!!
Nathaniel
We have had Kyle over at our house for many renovations - small and large. Each time we have been impressed with his excellent work and professionalism. We were told exactly how much the work would cost and also given a reasonable timeline. Obviously, we are very pleased with the quality of his work or we wouldn't have asked him back. You won't be disappointed.
Every time we've called Morningview Homes, Kyle has delivered exactly what we're looking for. From saving the day by stepping in to complete a bad renovation to transforming our garage into an outdoor lounge, Kyle was able to take our pie-in-the-sky vision and turn it into reality. His attention to detail, clear communication, and genuine kindness make it easy to recommend him.
We've had such success in the past, he'll definitely be our first call in the future.
