Sikh means “student”, and Sikhs fight for the justice of all oppressed people all around the world. In Sikhism, all people are equal regardless of race, religion or gender. Sikhs don’t seek to convert people, because their scripture teaches there is truth in all religions!
You can attend a service here on most Sundays, where you can sit and meditate to the melodic hymns. Also, you will be served a free vegetarian meal.
Sikh temples “Gurdwaras” traditionally have 4 doors - meaning all are welcome! This location is converted from a historic Black Church called the Triedstone Baptist Church and is located in the African Canadian section of Chatham :)
